GRAND PASS TOUR
Colorado Chapter J LOVES our Colorado Rocky Mountains! As such, we are proud to sponsor the Colorado Rocky Mountain Grand Pass Tour.
Chapter J has delayed the introduction of the new Grand Pass Tour until 2019.
As a way to encourage the Safe and Fun exploration of the Colorado Rockies, we invite you explore and ride over at least 3 Colorado mountain passes in any calendar year. We have identified 54 paved and 8 unpaved passes for you to explore across the entire state. These passes range in elevation from 7,352 feet to 14,160 feet above sea level. Denver, of course, is at 5,280 feet and has earned the nickname of the Mile High City.
Participation is easy! First, read the official rules and get your application here. Then, ride at least 3 Colorado passes your first calendar year to earn your base pin. At 7 total unique passes, earn your Beginner bar. At 15 total unique passes, earn your Intermediate bar. Keep riding passes over the years and earn your Grand Master Level bar! Details are in the rules. Don’t forget to take photographs of your bike at the top of each pass along with the sign at the summit of the pass (Where safe to do so, and sometimes it isn’t. We get that.).
Complete the application and submit it along with your photos and appropriate fees (please make checks payable to GWRRA Colorado Chapter J) as outlined on the application to:
CO-J Grand Pass Tour
10225 Sweet Rock Ct.
Parker, CO 80134
Photos may also be submitted by e-mail to email@example.com. You will still need to mail in your application form and payment, of course.
Don’t worry if you already have your base pin from prior years. Just keep hanging your new level bars right underneath!
